There are only a few games tonight and even fewer that appeal to us, but Place a Bet Online are nothing if not persistent. We have decided to turn our statistician’s eye upon the single games in the Premier League, Spanish Primera Liga and the F.A Cup.
Newcastle v Wigan
Alan Pardew has seen his halo fade a little this season, as Newcastle have struggled to hit the dizzying heights they soared to last season and performances have been a little below par.
United are without a win in their seven games and have to look as far back as the 4th November since registering their last point in the premier.
Although Wigan have had a confidence boosting win against Reading recently, we still don’t expect them to come away from St James Park with all three points. They have only managed two wins away from home so far this season, leaking ten goals in the process and only managing to score four times.
Sevilla v Valladolid
There is quite literally very little that can separate these two teams, both teams sit next to each other in the table having both won five, drawn three and lost five, even in the last 6 games they have the exact same form of W3 L2 and D1.
The only way we can tell these two teams apart is by goals and by going off their recent matches. Sevilla have managed a far superior goal tally when compared to Valladolid, scoring an impressive 12 goals in their last six games.
It’s this fine form in front of goals, that has us convinced a home win is on the cards.
Cheltenham v Hereford
League Two high fliers Cheltenham Town entertain Hereford, who currently sit in the middle of the Blue Square Premier table. Despite a comfortable win over Shrewsbury in the first round, this may prove too much of a task for the visitors.
With the third round draw being made yesterday, both go into tonight’s game knowing that a win will bring a lucrative home game against Everton, which would spur on even the most confident of teams.
