Champions League Preview

Champions League Preview Wednesday 27th November

Tonight we see reigning champions Bayern Munich (4/9) take a trip away to face an intimidating CSKA Moscow (7/1), in the aftermath of what occurred when Manchester City visited Russia last month. Victory for Bayern will confirm their status as group winners and theoretically put them in a great position for the 2nd round draw. Whereas the Moscow outfit will be looking to better Viktoria Plzens result, in order to guarantee themselves a Europa league place. Manchester City face Plzens, who they fired 5 goals past in there last home game in Europe and will be hoping a similar result will help them to leap frog Bayern at the top of the table. City (4/5) could be the bet of the night here as they look to improve their goal difference.

Everything is still to play for in group A. A Man United win (11/5) away at Bayer Leverkusen (7/5) will guarantee qualification and a bit of respite from the burdening pressure for David Moyes and his men, who are struggling with injuries and come off the back of a disappointing draw at the weekend. Although the reverse fixture provided 6 goals, this game is expected to be quite close and under 2.5 goals looks like a sensible bet (17/20).

Real Madrid (2/7) will be expecting to confirm top spot in Group B with a win, as they face Didier Drogba’s Galatasary (11/1) at the Bernabeu in what should be a thrilling encounter. The reverse fixture, back in September, saw Real run riot with a 6-1 victory and Cristiano Ronaldo claim one of his 5 hat tricks of the season, a result of that magnitude could be on the cards again with Real and Ronaldo being in such scintillating form. Surely Ronaldo will claim at least one goal in this fixture and he is (2/5) to score at any time with bet365. Elsewhere in this group, Italian giants Juventus need to avoid defeat otherwise they will be eliminated in what would surely be the shock of the round?

Finally, PSG (2/5) will no doubt cement top spot in Group C, needing just a point at home against second place Olympiakos (8/1). Zlatan for first goal scorer is surely going to be the most popular bet in this fixture.
