NFL Playoff Preview and NFL Accumulator Betting Tips 120113

The upcoming weekend is probably the best of the NFL season so far, as the top eight teams in the league fight it out in order to move within two victories of the Super Bowl. It’s also enough football to occupy an entire weekend without a single mediocre matchup.

For the time being though, we’re just focusing on today’s games and will be giving you our thoughts on the proceedings; as well as the usual NFL Accumulator and betting tips. We’re hoping we will see a return to winning ways, following a slight dip in an otherwise impeccable form.

betfair 1Baltimore Ravens @ Denver Broncos

First up is the Ravens, who travel to Mile High to take on an in form and well rested, Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning.

Against a spirited Indianapolis Colts, Ray Lewis showed why the fans aren’t quite ready to see him hang up his pads. Amassing an impressive 13 tackles which helped lead the Ravens to a victory, but Lewis himself is hoping to prolong his career that little bit longer, taking on Peyton Manning one final time.

When the two teams faced off last month it was embarrassing and turned in to a rout, partly due to Lewis missing the game through injury; but Baltimore will hope having the talismanic leader available this time round will change the outcome.

For Denver, keeping Manning and the offensive line on the field as long as possible will be key to the result. But the focus on defense will likely be to pressure Joe Flacco into mistakes, as they did in December.

If the Broncos can maintain focus throughout then victory should be assured, as Baltimore will have to play a near perfect game to stand a chance of progressing to the conference final.

Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers

The Packers have had mixed fortunes in recent years when it comes to the playoffs. They won four playoff games en route to a Super Bowl triumph in 2010, but last season they were upset in their first game.

They seem in the right frame of mind to fair a little better this time round, having exacted some much needed revenge over the Minnesota Vikings last week.

Since their previous meeting back in Week 1, the emergence of Colin Kaepernick for the 49ers means it will be a completely different game for the Packers defense this time round. Kaepernick gives the 49ers a little bit more of an edge compared to the earlier game, assuming the playoff pressure isn’t too overwhelming.

The big matchup of the game will be the 49ers defence against the Packers offence. The 49ers allowed less than 300 yards per game during the regular season and must be equally as stingy with Aaron Rodgers and Co.

NFL Accumulator Betting Tips

Last week we openly admitted that we went with our heart instead of our heads. We won’t be making the same mistake this week, personally we think a Denver win is a no brainer but Green bay is a bit of a tough one. Rodgers has the ability to dictate the game but the 49ers have one of the best defensive records in the league, so were gonna go defensive and opt for the 49ers with home field advantage.

Broncos and 49ers win is a strong bet, which you can back with Betfair. New customers get a £20 risk free bet which would return £41

A winning margin of 7-12 points for the Broncos is 7/2, also with Betfair.
