NFL Playoff Preview and NFL Accumulator Betting Tips 130113
The second round of NFL matches are taking place later today and let’s hope they’re as exciting and as captivating as yesterday’s action. Although on paper these two games appear to have much more of an exciting feel to them.
So were giving our not so expert opinion on the proceedings and of course our usual NFL Accumulator betting tips.
If you’d have asked any group of fans, with the exception Seattle, then I very much doubt any of them would still have the Seahawks participating at this stage; especially instead of the Redskins. While that may be true, Seattle deserves credit for fighting back from an early 14-0 deficit to advance.
Furthermore, the perennial underdogs can now enter the game against the Falcons knowing all of the pressure is squarely on Matt Ryan and the Falcons. As talented a quarterback as Ryan is, he hasn’t been able to find his footing in the playoffs with a 0-3 record.
Home field advantage is huge for the Falcons, not only were they just one loss away from a perfect record at the Georgia Dome, but the excellent turf should help; especially as the Seahawks are better suited to win in these elements.
Though you can never dismiss the Seahawks, Russell Wilson has stepped up to the plate and has now advanced further than his fellow rookie QBs, Griffin and Andrew Luck.
Houston Texans @ New England Patriots
When these two teams met a mere month ago the conference had a very different outlook. The Texans looked set for the number one spot before the game, but the Patriots raced out to a 28-0 lead early in the third quarter and didn’t look back; since then the wheels began to wobble and may yet still fall off the cart.
The Texans must start a lot stronger than they did the last time out, losing 7-0 within six minutes, especially as they aren’t really equipped to chase down a lead. Somehow they need to try and dictate the pace of the game, rather than get over run by it.
But that’s easy for us to say being sat at a keyboard, the Patriots offense, led by Tom Brady, has been playing with the determination of wiping their Superbowl defeat from the memory at the first attempt and will be all the more powerful as they should have a full-strength Rob Gronkowski back in the line-up.
The Patriots have the edge in this matchup. The Texans have enough talent to make it competitive, especially if New England is rusty after the week off.
NFL Accumulator Betting Tips
The patriots should see off Houston, and although the Falcons stormed to the playoffs, Seattle have been just too menacing to fall away now, which is why picking them for our NFL Accumulator.
